31463 has had some more running tests and the results are good. Since the roof section went on the boiler / radiator room we were aware that the fan very slightly brushes the inside of the fan cowling. At the moment with engine testing the radiators don’t get hot enough the fan kicks in but with more testing planned it will do so we needed to fix this. We loosened all the bolts on the fan cowling and were able to move and recenter it so the fan no longer catches and bolt it back down. 3 roof sections are now fully bolted down and the fourth is being worked on. One of the arms that holds the fan cowling required weld repairs, which has been completed. The radiator compartment and the boiler compartment have had a vacuum. In the engine sump a start has been made on cleaning the sludge out.

On 31210 Internal cleaning has been underway and is coming up really nice and now smells of apple in the cabs. The loco oil priming pump has also been run and the power unit barred over.
