Jobs on 31463 continue a pace, work is focused on the radiator area.

The boiler room frame repairs have been completed so the window frame could be welded back in.
On A side the radiator grill has had adjustments completed, new tabs to hold the grill on have been welded in and these have been drilled and tapped. The frame around the radiaotrs has been wire wheeled and painted in primer.
B side radiator grill has had final rust and old paint removal has been completed and is in primer.
The radiator element studs for the water elements on both sides have been removed. Some of these had wasted and the water rail faces for some of the elements had also deteriorated so removing the studs make this repair easier. A third of these put up a real fight to come out, some came out by welding nuts on to the studs and the remainder came out by being drilled and the remains of the stud removed. The water rail faces were wire wheeled to clean them and chemical metal applied. This has now been sanded flat on all 4 faces and the stud holes cleaned ready for new studs.
