Hello and happy new year. After a bit of a break in January the T1LC volunteers have been busy operating and working on our loco’s, see the round up below.
D8098
D8098 has this month received an A exam and is now ready to enter service. For those who don’t know our loco’s have to have exam work completed on them to make sure they are safe to operate, these can vary from a weekly fitness to run exam completed by a Great Central Railway duty fitter. An A exam, which is a routine exam carried out 6 monthly by our volunteers and can go to a G exam, which is a complete strip down and overhaul of the loco.
D8098 currently has 4 operating dates coming up so have a look on our running dates page for when to see the loco in service.
D5830
D5830 received some routine maintenance in January ready to operate 4 days in February for the February half term opening trains at the Great Central Railway Nottingham on the 125 Group MK3 stock providing ETS.
These 4 days went without any issues with D5830 on one end of the train and D8154 on the other. D5830 is in the shed ready for further maintenance work. Below are some images from these operating days.
